FAQ
A few things before you focus.
What is Allowlist Mode?
Choose the websites you need right now. The planned FewSites Chrome extension will keep those websites accessible and block navigation to everything else. You choose what to allow instead of keeping a list of what to block.
How is this different from a traditional website blocker?
A traditional blocklist names the websites you want to avoid and leaves the rest available. FewSites starts with an allowed list: just your work websites get through. The focus is on what you need, rather than every possible distraction.
Do I have to use a timer?
No. The preview defaults to “Until I stop.” A timer is optional and lives in Session options. You can choose a preset or a custom duration from 1 to 240 minutes. FewSites is built around Allowlist Mode, not timed work intervals.
Can I change the websites on my list?
Before starting, you can add domains, remove them, or switch them on and off. Stop the demo to edit the list again. Exact domain and subdomain rules for the released extension will be documented before launch. The website checker in this preview compares exact domains only.
Does this demo block real websites?
No. Everything here is an interactive simulation. It shows which websites would stay open or be blocked, but cannot control other tabs or restrict real browsing. Actual blocking requires the upcoming Chrome extension.
Can I stop focusing whenever I want?
You can stop the demo at any time. The intended default for the extension is to focus until you stop, with an optional timer. Final extension controls will be documented before release.
When can I install FewSites? Will it be free?
The extension is not available yet. There is no announced launch date or pricing. Get Early Access will let you request a launch notification once email signup is enabled.
